Hold RuneFest 2010 With Golden Gnome Awards with Runescape

The UK's largest independent games company, Jagex, have announced that RuneFest 2010 will play host to the first-ever Golden Gnome Awards. Celebrating the dedication of many "RuneScape" players, the ceremony will recognize the best video making talent in the community.

RuneFest 2010 will take place on Saturday 28 August 2010 and will be held in London, at a yet to be announced venue.

The Golden Gnome Awards fall under two specific categories- "Short Story" and "RuneScape Music Video." Within these categories are three more themes in the form of Machinima, Animation and Live Action Video.

Six Awards are up for grabs:

• Short Story in Machinima
• Short Story in Animation
• Short Story in Live action Video
• RSMV in Machinima
• RSMV in Animation
• RSMV in Live action Video

Players will be able to upload their entries to YouTube, and send their link to the competition entry address - competitions@jagex.com 'RuneFest 2010 YouTube Competition' as the subject line.

Once all the entries are in, RuneFest 2010 judges will select their favorite entries for each category, and the "RuneScape" community will be invited to vote for their winners in a poll.

After a final vote from the RuneFest 2010 attendees, the most worthy recipients will be invited to collect their award at the ceremony from a "very special guest."
